We will talk about DAVdroid as well as its underlying library dav4android and how it can be used in other projects.
DAVdroid is an open source CalDAV/CardDAV synchronization app for Android. Its underlying library dav4android is also developed by us. We've decided to now publish this lib under MPL, thus making it possible to be used in other (commercial) products as well. It opens the way for many developers to use WebDAV. We will give a short view on the internals of this library and discuss how collaboration could work.
Our business (bitfire web engineering) is based in Bad Vöslau, south of Vienna, Austria. We are working in the web environment for more than 10 years now and we are open source enthusiasts. Our main project is DAVdroid, a CalDAV/CardDAV synchronization app which makes it possible to have a fully working synchronization on Android with your own CalDAV/CardDAV server.
We also have great knowledge in web design and web development. But nowadays we're more focused on Android apps.
